"Jass amazing person. Trusted dental care is the best dental office. I got Invisalign and zoom done here and am so happy with everything! The front desk ksanet always helps me. Thank you Dr. g. You’re the best."- S.A. / Google / Nov 19, 2020
"They have been very patient with me throughout my Invisalign process it requires a lot of discipline from oneself."- L.F. / Google / Mar 19, 2022
"It was OK. I was not blown away but I can't say I was disappointed either. Seemed to be nice people. They did knock off two of my anchors (I have Invisalign) so maybe that is something new for them? You can tell it is a new office too; procedurally, there is some streamlining that can probably still be done. That will get better with time though. No biggie. Not sure if I'll be back but if I did, I won't get in a fetal position and cry on the floor."- S.M. / Google / Mar 26, 2020
"Dr G and all the staff at Trusted Dental Care are the best. I went to Trusted Dental Care a month after I had moved to Wylie from out of State. I have been visiting Trusted Dental Care regularly for over a year now for my Invisalign treatment and for other dental checkups. I am very satisfied by the great service I get from all the staff members. Everyone in our family likes Dr. G (the Habesha Dentist)."- T.T. / Google / Mar 12, 2022
Is Invisalign Right for You?
There are several factors that can ultimately impact how your teeth are aligned: genetics, the loss of a tooth or teeth, traumatic injury to the face, and childhood habits like thumb-sucking. Beyond being an aesthetic concern, misaligned teeth can result in an array of oral health problems, such as dental malocclusion (a bad bite), uneven wear on the enamel, difficulty speaking and chewing, as well as toothaches and jaw pain. If Dr. G. detects any of these concerns during your dental exam, he may suggest an orthodontic treatment like Invisalign. Properly aligned teeth can reduce your risk of gum disease, tooth decay, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems.
An Invisalign treatment may be ideal for teens and adults who want straighter teeth without the hassle, appearance, and dietary limitations of braces. Even though the aligners should remain in the mouth most of the time, they may be removed to brush and floss your teeth, before eating, for special events, and when playing sports. Far less obvious than traditional orthodontics that poke and irritate the inside of the mouth, Invisalign clear aligners are so discreet that your family and friends will typically not be able to tell that you are receiving orthodontic treatment.
Understanding the Process
To begin your Invisalign process, Dr. G. will map out your custom treatment strategy and capture digital impressions of your upper and lower arches. These impressions will then be sent to a special Invisalign lab, where your series of aligner trays will be created. When they are ready, you will come back to try-in your first set of trays and receive instructions for use and daily care. Your aligners should be worn for at least 20 hours each day to achieve targeted results, ideally removing them only for cleaning and eating. Every 1 – 2 weeks, you will trade your current set of trays for the next set of aligners as they gradually shift your teeth into proper alignment. You should schedule follow-ups every 4 – 6 weeks at Trusted Dental Care so that Dr. G. can track the progress of your Invisalign treatment. The length of time that you need to use Invisalign trays will vary considering the original positions of your teeth and your personal goals; however, many patients undergo care for about a year.
Maintaining Your Smile
Once your bite is aligned, it is important to stop your teeth from reverting back to their former locations. Invisalign Vivera® retainers are designed with the same clear, durable material to keep your teeth in place once your treatment is done. Every retainer is made custom at the Invisalign dental lab from digital impressions taken once your treatment is complete. Dr. G. will talk to you about how often to wear your retainer and how to care for it once it is sent from the lab. He will also continue to monitor the alignment of your teeth and bite during your routine dental checkup visits to ensure your teeth remain in their new position.
